Quarantine Day 25: This one is for you my dear friend with anxiety and stress
Hello stranger, actually let me do this again.
Hello friend.
You have been reading me for 7 days now, it has been a roller coaster, and it will continue but we know each other now. You know what I think, what I go through, and I know that you are not alone in this. Because you are reading this right now knowing that I also feel how you feel, I go through or most probably I have been through what you will be through…so we share the same story in different time lines.
I am not the one to just be like “ Oh have you seen the dolphins, have you seen the birds” while coronavirus is going on. Yes I am glad that the nature is clearing but for me it doesn’t change the fact that my life has been put on a pause. When people share the pictures of the venice Canale being crystal clear, I know that fact that those fishes have always been there, just obviously when there is movement, the mud in the Canale gets lifted and the water gets muddy. What I am trying to say is when there is a global crisis ongoing I am usually not one of the people to share butterflies and rainbows to make it look like I am okay, because I am not.
I am just okay with not being okay.
Dear friend with anxiety, today I learned that Italy has officially passed China with the number of deaths. I am still sitting in the house you left me yesterday and I am fine, well alive and healthy.
What we know is that this virus is officially out of our hands. BUT our personal hygiene is still in ours. What you can do is do the best you can for your household and your circle. Was your hands often, avoid going out, Wash clothes each time you wear them, don’t touch your face, eyes, nose, mouth when you are outside…These are for your physical health. Now let’s get to your mental health.
❤️Do follow the news but spare max 30 mins in your day for the news and avoid dramatic and fake news agencies. Make sure that the time you check the news is not within 3 hours of your sleeping time.
❤️Call your loved ones and family often. Seeing them happy and talking to them will make you feel better. As if you are like me
❤️Stay at home. When you are cautious you will also feel safer.
❤️Keep eating nice food, fill your time with both art and sports. Sports for getting rid of negative energy and moving around. Art for meditation and diverting you attention to creativity.Reading for leaving the house and traveling to other places :)
Goodnight x
